Traditional, intuitive herbalist
As an intuitive herbalist, with traditional training, Katelyn incorporates intuition and empathic abilities into her practice of herbalism. In addition to studying the properties and traditional uses of medicinal plants, an intuitive herbalist relies on their intuitive senses and inner guidance to select appropriate herbs for individual clients.
Rather than solely relying on established herbal knowledge or scientific evidence, she also tunes into the client’s energy, emotions, and overall well-being to understand their unique needs. She use her intuitive insights to identify imbalances or blockages in the client’s energy and recommend herbal remedies that can help restore balance and support healing on emotional, energetic, and spiritual levels.
Katelyn studied with internationally renowned herbalist, Rosemary Gladstar, in her school; The Art and Science of Herbalism.

Using the combination of art, herbs, and psychotherapy with clients, leads to a holistic and multidimensional approach to mental and emotional well-being. Here’s how each component can enhance the therapeutic process:
1.Art Therapy: Using art in therapy allows clients to express themselves non-verbally and explore their emotions, thoughts, and experiences through creative expression. The art-making process can serve as a form of catharsis, helping clients release pent-up emotions and gain insights into their inner world. Art therapy can also offer a safe and supportive space for clients to explore and process difficult feelings and experiences.
2.Herbal Support: Integrating herbal remedies can provide additional support for clients’ emotional and physical well-being. Certain herbs have calming or mood-enhancing properties, which can complement the psychotherapeutic work and help manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, or stress. Herbal remedies can also promote relaxation and self-care, reinforcing the importance of overall well-being.
3.Psychotherapy: The traditional psychotherapy component involves the therapist using talk-based techniques to explore clients’ thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Combining psychotherapy with art and herbs allows therapists to address emotional and psychological issues on multiple levels. It enables a more comprehensive approach to therapy, considering the interconnectedness of the mind, body, and creative expression.
Katelyn also has study and training in shamanism, astrology, sound healing and metaphysics.
Katelyn partners with her clients and together they come up with a plan of action that will promote healing. We work together throughout the process to facilitate the highest and best possible healing outcome. She brings her personal experience of healing from serious and life threatening illness and experiencing miracles in the process.

Those who know about astrology know about Chiron, the wounded healer. This is Chiron and his wife Chariklo. They are both centaur asteroids. Together they represent the healing qualities of the Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine.
It’s interesting to me that they are both in my 1st house, the house of identity. This tells me that I have both the masculine and feminine archetypes of healing as part of who I am. Chariklo is considered a celestial body of grace, healing, and compassion, loving kindness and miracles. She is also connected to the six pointed star which is on of my symbols. She is the asteroid of Spirit Medicine using nature to heal. She is a shaman and works with plants and herbal medicine. It is obvious I carry her signature ✨🌿 |
