Who is Katelyn Davida Mariah?I am a visionary artist, intuitive guide, and herbalist devoted to helping people reconnect with the wisdom of their own soul.
For more than 35 years, I have created symbolic watercolor paintings that arrive without planning or intention. The images come through me as a form of listening — a dialogue with something deeper, wiser, and profoundly compassionate. Over time, I began to understand that these paintings were not simply art. They were messages. Reflections. Mirrors for the soul. Alongside my life as an artist, I have studied and worked with plant medicine for more than fifty years. My formal herbal studies include training with Rosemary Gladstar, but my relationship with plants began long before that through direct experience, observation, and deep listening to the natural world. I work with herbs in the same intuitive way I work with imagery by listening to what the body, heart, and spirit are asking for. My herbal creations, like my paintings, are guided by this conversation. My path of learning has also included studying earth-based spirituality with three Indigenous medicine elders from the United States, Chile, and Peru. These teachings deepened my understanding of the living intelligence of nature, the sacred relationship between humans and the earth, and the importance of humility, reverence, and listening in all healing work. My path has not been conventional. After experiencing five heart attacks and open-heart surgery, I entered a nine-year healing journey that changed everything about how I create, how I listen, and how I serve. During this time, I painted over 100 heart-centered works that became part of my own transformation. What I discovered is that art, plants, and presence are powerful gateways back to wholeness. I do not work from formulas or systems. I work from connection.
Whether I am creating a portrait, guiding a session, or crafting an herbal remedy, the process begins the same way: by attuning to your deeper self and allowing what is ready to be seen, heard, or supported to come forward. People often tell me that they feel seen in a way they have never experienced before. That is because I am not looking at who you think you are, I am listening to who you truly are. My role is simply to translate what your soul is already saying. This work is especially meaningful for those who feel different, sensitive, creative, intuitive, or in the midst of personal change. For those who sense there is more to them than the roles they have been given. For those who are ready to live from a deeper place of authenticity and alignment. You do not need to understand how it works. You only need to be willing to be met. I live a quiet, nature-centered life, guided by curiosity, reverence, and a deep respect for the unseen threads that connect us all. My studio is a place of color, plants, music, and listening. It is from this space that I create and hold space for others. This is not simply what I do. It is who I am. And it is an honor to share it with you. |
